You could mint this completely for free if you owned at least 1 Fun Labs Pass (opens new window) during the mint time. Only 1,234 Ugliens exist and minters were able to get only 3 per wallet.

# Ugliens Inspiration

The overall inspiration was the free-to-mint collections which are booming on ETH, especially Goblin Town which started the ugly NFTs trend. So they went further than this to create THE UGLIEST collection.

Utility? Lol. But actually yes, it’s evolving, now it has its own DAO: at the moment of writing holders using their voting power (amount of NFTs) voting for the Ugliens General which will institute council. So this should create own eco-system where holders are “pumping their bags” themselves.
