# Kalmy Inspiration
Kalmy has been the mascot of Kalmar for almost a year now. At first we created the Kalmy’s Universe collection, part of it being used at our token launch, where NFTs had real tangible value and could be exchanged for KALM tokens, iPhones, merch or $5,000 USD. But as the Kalmy’s Universe collection is similar to Pancake Bunnies, it does not give the user enough unique choices to really represent them online as their profile pictures. Therefore, we created Kalmy PFP, where there are 8,888 unique options, so our users can link their unique personalities to Kalmy.
# Utility
Here is where the Kalmy NFTs and Kalmy.app shines. We’re creating the first NFT staking platform with the first NFT wars. What does that mean? It means that, using KALM tokens, you will be able to vote on Kalmar’s governance platform and choose which NFT collection can be staked on Kalmy.app. Any NFT collection on BNB chain is welcome to participate!
# Rarity and Ranking
We have plenty of traits and traits variations, but we’ll let you explore them on your own. Along with that, the collection is also home of the 68 Samurais which protect Kalmy.app and the entire Kalmar community, as well as a few 1/1, including Geisha, Terminator, Zombie and more.
# Why Build on BNB Chain ?
We started building Kalmar in November 2020, and as the core team is mainly formed from ex-PancakeSwap community admins and BNB chain enthusiasts, BNB chain was the obvious choice.
